TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORIDINARY TIME – SEPTEMBER 20, 2026
1. TODAY we celebrate the TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORIDINARY TIME
• Today, after all Masses Polish Gymnastic Association SOKÓŁ Winnipeg is selling tickets to their special concert presenting the Sokół Dance School, Sokół Choir, and guest performance by the Iskry Ensemble. The concert is organized as part of the 120th anniversary celebrations of Sokół Winnipeg.
• Tickets are also available at all Polish retail locations and at the Sokół headquarters at 717 Manitoba Ave. for $15 per person. For more information, call (204)294-4078
2. THIS WEEK WE CELEBRATE:
• Monday, September 21 - ST. MATTHEW, APOSTLE & EVANGELIST (feast)
• Wednesday, September 16 - ST. PIUS OF PIETRECINA, PRIEST (PADRE PIO) (memorial)
• Saturday, September 26 - ST. JEAN DE BREBEUF & ST. ISAAC JOGUES, PRIESTS & COMPANIONS, MARTYRS (memorial)
3. GROUPS’ MEETINGS:
• CATHOLIC WOMEN”S LEAGUE - Sunday, September 20 following the 9:30 a.m. Mass
• LEISURE CLUB – Thursday, September 24 at 12:00 p.m. (in Polish Manor)
• BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP – Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 p.m.
• ST. CECILIA CHOIR – Friday, September 25 at 5:30 p.m.
• PARISH YOUTH GROUP (12 to 16) – Friday, September 25 at 6:00 p.m.
• ORDER OF CATHOLIC INITIATION FOR ADULTS (OCIA) – Sunday, September 27 following the 9:30 a.m. Mass.
4. MASSES IN POLISH MANOR
• After summer break, this Thursday, September 24 we are resuming Masses in Polish Manor.
• The Masses are being held on every Thursday at 8:45 am
5. REGISTRATION FOR SATURDAY CATECHISM CLASSES - 2026/27
• Applications for religion classes are still available on our website – you may complete them and bring to the first day of classes.
• The first class will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
• Please note that the last day to register your children into the program is: Saturday, October 3, right before the religion classes in the Holy Ghost School!
• We WILL NOT accept applications after this deadline for the First Communion and Confirmation classes!
6. CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE
• Would like to thank all those who donated in support of their collection for the education of Polish Seminarians in Obra, Poland.
• They raised $1531.85 for this very important cause. God bless all for your continued generosity & support!
• Will be making perogies in our parish hall and are inviting volunteers to come help on Wednesday, September 30 at 9:00 a.m.
7. TOGETHER IN THE MISSION
• As of September 1 - Together in Mission program takes over the current Sharing God’s Gifts and is inaugurated by our archdiocese to bring us together in helping the most needy.
• More information can be found in large envelopes placed on the table by the parking lot entrance to the church. Please take it home with you.
• Please note, that you can still use the Sharing God’s Gifts envelopes for this collection and for the 2027 year as they have already been ordered.
8. REMEMBER YOUR PARISH IN YOUR WILL
• Various institutions and organizations are given support as a way of commemorating a love one in memory of the deceased. We ask that you please remember our Holy Ghost parish in your will allocation.
• Through your parish you receive the Sacraments, especially Eucharist and Reconciliation with the Lord. These sacraments are vessels leading to eternity. Through your act of kindness we, the Church of Holy Ghost will be able to provide the most important food for life and spread the love God gives us through Sacraments and the works of his Church.
• Also, remember your parish when commemorating your loved one through donations in lieu of flowers during the funeral preparation. This is one of the ways to support the church and to contribute to its growth.

9. PAYER FOR OUR DECEASED
+ Erwin GINGERA – burial took place on Wednesday, September 16th
+ Lillian SAWATZKY – funeral Mass will be in St. Anthony of Padua Church
on Monday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m.; burial in our cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
