FR. MACIEJ PAJ¡K, OMI -

Fr.
Maciej Pajak, OMI was born on January 10, 1972 in
Turek, in the region of Wielkopolska, Poland. Upon
completing his Seminary studies in Markowice, he decided
to enter the Novitiate at Holy Cross and there in
1992, made his first religious vows. He studied philosophy
and theology at the Seminary of St. Bernard in Obra,
Poland where he received his Master's degree.
In
the year of 1998, as a newly ordained priest at the
parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Katowice, Poland,
he taught religion at the General Maczek High School.
He
arrived in Canada in 1999. In the beginning, he spent
six months at St. Casimir's Parish in Toronto intensively

studying the English language at the
School of Continuing Studies at the University of
Toronto.In
the year 2000, he was assigned to St. Henry's Parish
in Melville, Saskatchewan as an Associate Pastor.
As in the past, he continued to study the English
language. His next obedience was to St. Maximilian
Kolbe Parish, Mississauga, Ontario where he primarily
worked with the youth during the years 2001 to 2005.
Presently, he has been appointed the Pastor of Holy
Ghost Parish in Winnipeg. Some of his other pastoral
responsibilities have included a pilgrimage to Midland,
being a member on the board of the Polish Cultural
Center under the name of John Paul II and Chaplain
(IV Degree) for the Knights of Columbus in the local
region. His
brother, Michal, is also an Oblate and his sister
works at a high school as a religious teacher.His favorite ways to relax are studying history, learning
computer technology and biking.

FR. MIECZYSLAW BURDZY, OMI -

Father Mieczyslaw was born on January 7th, 1970, in
Nisko, the region of Podkarpacie, PolandUpon
completing his electro-technical diploma, he emigrated
to the United States, then to Canada and in 1997 decided
to join the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.In
September1999, after a year of
the Novitiate at Holy Cross,
Poland, professed his first religious vows and then
studied philosophy and theology at Newman Theological
College in Edmonton, completing his religious and
priestly formation at St. Paul University and St.
Charles Scholasticate in Ottawa.
On December 8, 2004 professed his perpetual profession
as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, then
diaconate and on May 20, 2005 was ordained as priest at
St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Mississauga, ON, by his
grace bishop Douglas Crosby, OMI.

His first obedience was St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, where
he ministered for two years, after which
he was assigned
for a year as the administrator of St. Hyacinth Parish in
Ottawa, and then for a year as the director of the Catholic
Youth Studio in Toronto with residence at St. Casimir Parish.
From
August 2009, Fr. Mieczyslaw was appointed an Assistant
Pastor at Holy Ghost Parish in Winnipeg.Father
Mieczyslaw comes from a family of five: four boys and one
girl. His mother and two brothers with families still live
in Poland, while his third brother lives in Mississauga, ON,
and his sister Ewa lives with her family in New York.
Fr. Mieczyslaw’s favourite ways of rest and relax are
biking, rollerblading, skiing, swimming, jamming on the
guitar or just going for a walk.
